Tell me about your business and what inspired you to start?

My business is a clothing brand which I started in summer 2017, my clothing brand is called InspireDynasty. What inspired me to start my clothing brand was a vision and a voice from God, he gave me the name of the brand and it was surreal how everything came together.

What makes your business different ?

What makes my business different is that I don’t do this for the sake of receiving anything, of course people buy my stuff but it is a lot deeper than that. I am not chasing money at all I am chasing answering people’s problems and being a solution. Authenticity is rare in the fashion industry; a lot of people are chasing money which is why they don’t get anywhere. I chase purpose and that’s why I am going in the direction that I am.

Where do you see yourself and your business in 5 years?

I see myself and my business in five years expanding across the world, people from various countries will know about InspireDynasty and people all over the world will be buying our products. We offer premium quality at affordable prices which is what makes us stand out from a lot of other brands, also saying that we run our own race and our only competition is ourselves.

What would you say makes your business successful ?

I’d say what makes my business successful is the understanding that nothing happens overnight, success is defined in the eyes of the beholder and for me I see success as starting something and having the means to go on and fulfil the desires of your heart, it is a marathon. People expect too much and get disheartened when things don’t go their way which is why you have to face the reality of this thing and understand that the majority of people fail. If it was easy everyone would do it and consistency has set me apart from a lot of others, I will never stop doing what I am doing for the core reason being that I love what I do and that’s why I can carry on and go through my worst days like they are my best, because I love what I do.

Do you ever experience obstacles or challenges, how do you overcome them?

I experience obstacles every day, I see being the CEO/Founder in the same way I see being a fire fighter, you have to put out fires because you are the last line of defence. I run my business by myself so it is even more intense because I am the only line of defence, no one is coming to save me it is either I put out the fire or I get burned. I overcome these things by learning from my mistakes, mistakes are a beautiful thing which people look down upon, if they had the perspective to understand that mistakes are just learning curves then they would use it as a strength instead of a weakness. L’s aren’t losses, they are lessons and why I am here today because I embrace my L’s.

What does success mean to you ?

I addressed early that success to me is starting something and finishing what you have started, success is a big picture for me. It is also seen to me as making a difference in people’s life because as I said earlier, I am here to be an answer to a problem, I am a solution and this is the best way to obtain success. Often times people chase success for their own personal desires, for me it is all about the people because I am chasing legacy and impact which builds even more value for the foreseeable future, I play the long game not the short one, the best way to obtain success is by playing for longevity. I am here to stay not to come and go.

Is there anything you would have done differently or anything you believe you would have benefited from in the process of implementing your business?

I don’t have any regrets and I wouldn’t change anything, I believe God has allowed everything to happen to me for a reason from experiencing the greatest highs to learning constant lessons, if it was any other way I wouldn’t be here today, my story had to be like this. If even the smallest detail changed then my story would change because the process would be different. If I am honest the things that should have broken me are the things that made me, I know that the current suffering doesn’t compare to the future joy ahead, I know all things are working together for my good and I count it for joy when I go through trials because without them, I wouldn’t have come this far.

What do you believe is the most important tool to equip an inspiring business owner with?

I believe that the most important tool an inspiring business owner can have is the truth. Often times people are told about this wild fantasy of entrepreneurship, they are told about making a lot of money, having houses, cars, a desired lifestyle, having clout and all the things people desire, this is simply not true. Entrepreneurship can be a very lonely game and it isn’t for the weak, the majority fail, you’ll encounter some of your worst life memories but also some of your best, it is hard, there will be days when you are beyond broke, days you are alright and days you make a lot of wins, this is the truth which allows people to know the game they are really considering and not some fantasy based on lies.

Can you describe your customers?

I have a wide range of customers but majority of them are ages 18-34 which is very interesting, both male and female too even though we have launched a specific line for females yet so I am happy they are still taking interest, my customers love streetwear which is what we specialise in so like tracksuits, tops, hoodies, all of the good stuff people love!
