Hey guys,

My name is Akira middle name Kay LOL, I am a 23 year old South Londoner who is eager to conquer the world one strut at a time.

With a background in fashion, media and experience with young people and children in care, I truly believe that with strategic planning, opportunity and determination the world is your oyster and the skys isn’t even the limit.

Life can genuinely be difficult to steer as a young adult, who’s trying to find their feet in this crazy world let alone as a young person that’s been through the care system like myself. I’ve found that trying to discover who you are, your purpose and value, can be even more of a strenuous task when the things of the past that could have broken you, have an astounding effect on your present, which makes you who you are today and determines your future. As a result, I am inspired by perseverance and the niche to create opportunity.

Through this blog, I share with you my life and experiences, the beauty and the brokenness as a young person that has gone through the care system.
My wish is to educate, break taboos & stereotypes but most importantly inspire & encourage. I am neither perfect or without flaws, I promise to be open and truthful through my work as lessons are learnt and wisdom gained through experience.
